Many of us have experienced the open office-   a sleek, trendy new attempt at collaboration by employers.   Does it make us more productive?

We think it can be productive, but it isn't a fit for all types of business.  For example, in our business, would you really want us having your sensitive information on computer screens as other clients (maybe even your competitors) walk around our office?  Hopefully you said no.  Our bookkeepers and clerks have private office space.  For a plumbing company, maybe it makes sense, or a real estate office.
